The Benefits Flow in Both Directions

There are many benefits that dogs can receive from a professional canine massage therapy session. While human touch is certainly a vital component for the delivery of these benefits, the flow of healing energy is also an essential part of the process.

Anyone that has a dog in their life can attest to the revitalizing energy exchange that occurs when they pet their dog, snuggle their dog, or receive doggie kisses. There doesn't even need to be direct contact for the positive power of canine energy to be felt. Therapy dogs are the perfect example of this energy exchange and its healing power. The human-canine bond goes back thousands of years, so it shouldn’t be surprising that the close proximity of a canine spirit can be an uplifting force for the human spirit in its presence.

Since dogs give humans so much unconditional love and healing energy, it is truly a special honor for me to be able to improve the quality of canine lives through the therapeutic benefits of massage. It is a privilege that I will never take for granted. I will never cease to be amazed by those joyful moments that occur during a canine massage therapy session when the dog communicates to me that I have found “the right spot”, and I feel an unspoken appreciation from the dog. It is in those precious moments that the healing energy flows back to me from the dog.

Look no further than the Dancing Dogs slideshow to see the mutual afterglow from a canine massage therapy session. I truly believe that if I also had a photo taken with the dog prior to the massage session, the differences between the before and after photos would be striking. That would certainly be an interesting experiment to conduct with the permission of my clients. I will always cherish the positive energy I feel when I have finished providing a canine massage therapy session. The healing benefits definitely flow in both directions!
